The film — GEN Calendars

A short walkthrough: what GEN Calendars is, how it works, and how it's set up. Opens with the GEN mark and this product's name — every film in the library is made for its product.

What it is

What GEN Calendars is

Calendars is GEN's scheduling layer: every company has its own calendar and every person has their own inside it — bookings never collide across scopes, and rollups give the company and the parent clean views without merging the underlying calendars. The site, the phone agent, and the hubs all book onto the same layer, so an appointment made by voice at midnight and one made on the website at noon can never double-book the same person.

How it works

How it works

Company and personal calendars are created with the company instance and each person's hub.

Availability rules are set per calendar: hours, buffers, booking types.

The website, forms, site voice, and phone agent all book through the same layer.

Bookings carry their context: source, record, owner, and the registry references of everyone involved.

Rollups compose views upward — person to company to parent aggregate — without exposing private detail.

The details

The details

  • Separate means separate: one company's calendar is never another's, and personal detail stays at the personal scope.
  • Every booking is a CRM event with an owner and a follow-up path — no orphan appointments.
  • Reminders and confirmations run through the same approval and Gate rules as all communication.
  • The Snapshot and weekly report read calendar activity in aggregate: volume, no-shows, booking sources.
  • Calendar changes are attributable — who booked, through which channel, when.
