A short walkthrough: what GEN Numbers is, how it works, and how it's set up. Opens with the GEN mark and this product's name — every film in the library is made for its product.

What it is

What GEN Numbers is

Numbers is GEN's telephony identity layer: every company holds a pool of phone numbers that rotate for outbound work, and every person holds an assigned number that is theirs — the number on their hub, their card, and their calls. Rotation protects deliverability and spreads volume; assignment protects identity and accountability. All of it is registered: a number, like everything else in GEN, has an owner, a company, and a history.

How it works

How it works

A company is issued its number pool when its communications are stood up.

Outbound calling and texting rotate across the pool by rule — volume, geography, and rest periods respected.

Each person is assigned a personal number for their direct work and their hub identity.

Inbound calls to any number route by rule: pool numbers to the phone agent and queues, personal numbers to their owner.

Number health — delivery, flags, answer rates — is monitored and reported; tired numbers are rested or replaced.

The details

The details

  • Callers are always told they can save the business number and call or text it any time.
  • Rotation is a discipline, not a trick: rules are set per company and auditable.
  • A person's assigned number survives role changes inside the system — identity stays reachable.
  • Numbers are Registry records: issued, assigned, rested, and retired with the history intact.
  • Texting and calling follow the same Gate and approval rules as every other channel.
