A short walkthrough: what GEN Knowledge Vault is, how it works, and how it's set up. Opens with the GEN mark and this product's name — every film in the library is made for its product.

What it is

What GEN Knowledge Vault is

Every company — and every person — gets a Knowledge Vault: a private, consistently structured store of the knowledge that makes the business run. Processes, decisions, standards, and hard-won lessons live as versioned records with an owner and a review date, not in someone's head or inbox. When people leave, the knowledge stays. When a company is duplicated, its vault pattern duplicates with it.

How it works

How it works

The vault is created with the company's standard structure the day the company enters the system.

Knowledge is captured as records: each carries company, owner, source, version, approval, and review date.

AI retrieval answers from the vault by permission-scoped lookup, with citations — and 'the vault doesn't say' is a valid answer.

Reviews run on schedule, so stale knowledge is refreshed or retired instead of silently rotting.

The details

The details

  • One vault per company and per person — private by default, shared per record, never pooled upward silently.
  • Inherited template knowledge stays distinguishable from company-specific records.
  • The vault is the training ground for the company's AI agents: they know what the vault knows, nothing more.
  • Every answer an agent gives can be traced back to a vault record.
  • Export is always available — the client owns its vault outright.

Set up

How it's set up

Instantiate the standard vault structure from the company blueprint.

Seed it with the parent standards the company adopts.

Assign owners and review dates to the founding records.

Connect the vault to the company's agents and hubs with permission scopes.

Who it's for

Who it's for

The parent firm

Sets vault standards and sees aggregate vault health, not private contents.

The company

Owns its operational memory — the asset that survives staff changes and ownership changes.

The person

Holds a personal vault for their own role knowledge, which they can carry and curate.

In the duplication blueprint

Where GEN Knowledge Vault sits

Duplicated with every company. The structure is identical everywhere; the contents are each company's own — that separation is what makes duplication safe.
